How Is Japanese Matcha Green Tea Yielded Naturally?

There is nothing surprising about the health benefits associated with green tea but, did you know there is one kind that is considered to be even more nutritious than the green tea itself? In fact, it is just green tea but, in its best and most concentrated form. Widely popular by the name Matcha, this form of tea is an amazingly abundant source of antioxidants and hence, can benefit your health supremely in multiple ways. Improved metabolism, enhanced feeling of calmness, improved cognitive performance, etc., are a few of many health benefits this form of tea could provide with and, for the same health reasons it is now widely used as an active ingredient in health supplements such as Japanese Matcha Green Tea pills.

While the benefits of matcha are being talked about on a wide scale, not many are still sure about what matcha really is. Following points will tell you all about the tea and how it is yielded.

• Matcha is the highest quality and as mentioned above, the super concentrated form of green tea. Owing to its many health benefits, matcha is also at some places online, advertised as the superheroes of all teas!

• The process of matcha preparation begins a few weeks before harvest and continues for about 20 days. During this time frame, the tea bushes are grown in shade from direct sunlight.

• The growth of the tea bushes slows down and the production of chlorophyll accelerates thereby, giving the leaves their vivid dark green colour. In addition to chlorophyll, the levels of amino acid L-Theanine, also rise during this time.

• For the harvest, only the best and finest quality tea buds are handpicked and after harvesting, the leaves are placed out flat to dry. The dried out leaves somewhat begin to crumble to form what is known as Tencha.

• Tencha is further de-vined, de-stemmed, and thoroughly stone-ground to produce an extraordinarily bright green and talc-like powder, full of amazing health properties, known as matcha.
